Malta Gozo's Azure Window has sadly collapsed

The beautiful landmark, the Azure Window in Malta, has finally succumbed to the passage of time and corrosion from the sea. The latest storm this morning, 8th March, just proved too much for the rock formation and the pillars and the natural arch collapsed removing the 'window' forever.

The Azure Window, known locally as Tieqa tad-Dwejra, (Dwejra Window) was a popular tourist attraction and its destruction is considered as a significant blow to Malta's natural heritage.

mpec design regularly used images of the Azure Window in the creatives we produced for Malta Tourist Association, and sadly, following its demise, the images are no longer to be used.

Make the most of the creatives you may have already seen, in particular the Chevron adverts in last weekend's newspapers!
